Leeds United saw their unbeaten run in the Championship come to a halt on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Birmingham City.
The loss handed Marcelo Bielsa his first taste of league defeat as manager of the Peacocks and changes could be required ahead of Friday’s hosting of Sheffield Wednesday, as Leeds look to return to winning ways.
Many have called for changes in the wake of the defeat and some Whites fans on Twitter have expressed their desire to see goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell dropped in order for Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackman to be handed his chance.
However, 21-year-old Peacock-Farrell has deservedly established himself as Leeds’ first-choice stopper under Bielsa, who clearly loves the stopper considering he prefers him to Blackman, and dropping him may not have the desired effect.
It would also be harsh considering Peacock-Farrell has kept four clean sheets in nine matches this season, conceding a total of seven goals – the third-lowest tally in the division behind only Middlesbrough and Swansea City.
Do you agree Leeds fans? Should Bielsa change his stoppers this weekend? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
