Roque is at the La Liga club on a temporary deal from Barca, scoring seven goals in 31 appearances this season. The Brazilian transfer window does not close until 28 February and Roque is pushing to move back to his native country this month, according to

In order to make the deal happen, Barca would need to negotiate the end of Roque's loan move, made more complicated by the fact that Real Betis have the option of extending the deal by another year – and could even buy him permanently for €25 million this summer. Their boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen to keep him considering his lack of other forward options.

Barcelona are unlikely to sell Roque to Palmeiras for less than the €25m fee they have agreed with Betis. He is reported to have cost the La Liga giants €30m when they first signed him from Athletico Paranaense and they do not want to make much of a loss on a player they had such hopes for.
