In the summer transfer window, the 26-year-old has been linked with a move to AC Milan, but De Rossi claimed that he has full faith in Abraham's abilities and that he is counting on the forward to deliver for the club in the upcoming campaign.
WHAT DANIELE DE ROSSI SAID
Speaking to reporters, the Italian said: "Tammy is a strong player in our squad, then the market tells you that even those you thought you were keeping leave and those you thought were leaving stayed and had incredible seasons. He is an important player for us and could have a lot of value. He has recovered, I saw him in the last six months when he returned from a very serious injury. I know that what I saw is not the real Tammy and we are banking on him.
"There is no problem in banking on strong players and the same goes for Edoardo [Bove]. I see, I speak to the director and we see the opportunities that the market offers and the players' requests. Sometimes players need more space, they get restless and I understand this and I have to accept it."
