The Bundesliga title holders are due at Old Trafford on Tuesday for a heavyweight European encounter. The home side know that anything other than a win will see them fail to make the last 16. Defeat would see United finish bottom of Group A and miss out on the consolation prize of a spot in the Europa League.

Containing Kane will not be easy for Erik ten Hag’s side, with the former Tottenham striker having already hit 22 goals for Bayern this season. The England captain has been heavily linked with United in the past, but is now chasing down major silverware in Germany and wants to dash the dreams of his familiar opponents along the way.
WHAT TUCHEL SAID ABOUT KANE
Tuchel has said of sending Kane into battle at Old Trafford and whether the prolific 30-year-old is fired up for the challenge: “Yes, for him 100 percent. He is a winner – he is a champion. It’s nice to go back to England and to Old Trafford. Harry will love it I think and is looking forward to it. Harry is a top pro and a fantastic guy who has adjusted very well to life in Germany. Life in Munich is a good life. Munich is a safe city — a beautiful city. We have a lot of nature and a lot of golf courses for Harry when he has some time off. And everybody speaks English, which is good for him, that helps him a lot.”

Bayern suffered a shock 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt last time out, but United were also humbled in the Premier League – 3-0 at home to Bournemouth – and both sides will be looking to get back on track when they lock horns.
