Celtic attacker James Forrest continued his outstanding start to the season with five goals in two matches for Scotland during the international break earlier this month.
The 27-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2017/18 campaign having scored 17 goals and provided a further 10 assists, as per Transfermarkt, in 58 appearances in all competitions, but he appears to have taken his game to another level this time around.
The right-sided winger, who can also play through the middle behind the striker, has already provided more assists (12) for the Bhoys than he did last term in just 25 outings, according to Transfermarkt, while he has netted nine times even though we haven’t reached December yet.
While he has failed to find the net in Brendan Rodgers’ men’s previous two Scottish Premiership fixtures, he showed just how clinical he can be in front of goal with his treble against Israel which saw his nation promoted from their Nations League group.

Meanwhile, Celtic sold Moussa Dembele for a club-record £19.7m fee to Lyon on the final day of the summer transfer window, and we at Football FanCast were intrigued to know how much the Parkhead faithful believe their 27-year-old is worth.
We asked Bhoys fans to vote on our poll to see how much they think Forrest should be valued at, and while a whopping 76% think the Scotland international is worth at least £15m, 44% of those say more than £20m, meaning they believe he is more valuable to the Glasgow giants than Dembele was.
