Replacing Steven Gerrard as Liverpool captain was never going to be the easiest of tasks, and it has not been straightforward for Jordan Henderson.
The 27-year-old has been Liverpool skipper since Gerrard left the club, but it would be fair to say that many feel that the Englishman is fortunate to be in such a position.
Henderson, who is valued at £28m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has been criticised by Liverpool fans for some lacklustre performances this season, but the midfielder was impressive in Saturday’s 3-2 win at Leicester City.
Indeed, the England international scored Liverpool’s third goal at the King Power Stadium, while his driving runs from midfield caused the home side all sorts of problems throughout the Premier League clash.
Liverpool supporters are still undecided when it comes to the midfielder’s influence, however, with many claiming that he goes missing when the team is not performing.
There are a lot of Liverpool fans that rate Henderson, but it seems that he will never be able to win over everyone.
