Newcastle United registered a convincing 4-1 win over Chelsea on Saturday courtesy of goals from Alexander Isak, Jamaal Lascelles, Joelinton and Anthony Gordon. After the match, co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi applauded the team's effort but also slammed the St James' Park atmosphere and urged the fans to be more vocal in their support of the Magpies.

Quoting Newcastle's tweet of their team photo after the match, Ghodoussi wrote on X,:"What a team. #nufc we need to give these guys more support in the stadium, we need to be louder, we need to be the 12th man."

The fans in turn hit back at their owner in reply as several users criticised the club for their complicated new ticketing system where the club first charge the fans for membership and then allot a ticket via a ballot system. Supporters can head to resale sites such as StubHub in their efforts to bag tickets, though even then, it is not a foregone conclusion.
